Acting My Age with Kevin Hart

For my birthday, my friend Stephanie invited me to see Kevin Hart’s new stand-up act, Acting My Age in Chicago. I promised myself I would do more things that light me up, so it was a “Hell yes” moment.

She booked a room at The Wit Hotel by the theater so we wouldn’t have to drive home after the show. I don’t take off work often so it was a nice way to spend time with my friend. I was so glad when the day finally arrived to go!

Stephanie had the idea to leave early so we wouldn’t have to rush through Chicago traffic. We arrived with enough time to eat before the show so we went to the hotel to drop our stuff off and pick a restaurant. State and Lake, the restaurant in the hotel had decent food but fantastic service! A good server can make an experience so much more memorable.

Acting His Age

I was already a Kevin Hart fan, now I’m a super fan! Kevin had the entire room laughing hysterically about the middle-aged mishaps that people my age are trying to avoid. By the end of his act, my face hurt and my stomach felt like I spent the night doing ab crunches. Kevin Hart understood the assignment.
